How to apply fireable ceramic decals to your products
If you would like to use ceramic decals, you first need to immerse them for a short time in water. Then slide the still wet decal off the transfer paper and directly on to the desired surface of your product. Position the fireable ceramic decal where you would like it to be, then hold it in place while you carefully use a rubber squeegee to press the water out from under the decal. After leaving it to dry for approximately four hours, you can fire the motif in an industrial kiln to make it scratch-resistant and dishwasher-safe. For drinking glasses, the optimum firing temperature is around 620°C, for porcelain cups it is around 800°C, and for hotel crockery with inglazing it is about 1200°C.
How are our fireable decals produced?
To have your individual motif made into a decal, you first need to send us your print data. You can do this simply by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. We can process not only PDF files, but also all other standard data formats, such as AI (Illustrator), PSD (Photoshop) or INDD (InDesign). If you do not have print files available, we can also vectorise your decals to produce the digital print file for you. On the basis of your print file, we then create the special colour separation for the ceramic screen print. Our standardised screen coating procedure guarantees the excellent picture quality of our screen prints. We then use a cylinder screen printing technique to print your decals, producing images that are true to colour, highly accurate – and of consistently high quality.
Before your order is dispatched, we subject every single fireable decal to a strict visual inspection. In this way our experts ensure that you always get vibrant colours and exact precision of fit. We also record and document all production process settings for you, so that even years later, we can still reproduce your decals again exactly.
